Description
Young children predominantly operate in what is known as the Alpha State of Mind and so their subconscious receptivity and imagination are heightened. Because of this many children have problems with nightmares and bad dreams because their mind does not know the difference between what is real and what is make believe.
This is further heightened by exposure to concepts like the ‘boogie man’, monsters in their closet and that a belief that bad things happen in the dark. Although adults are aware that these are fictitious concepts most children are not. It takes time for children to grasp this concept and so fears begin to build in their subconscious that can easily manifest into nightmares.
This story is designed to teach children that bad dreams are not real and that they are in their imagination. It teaches through a metaphorical story the difference between real and imaginary and how to control this. It helps children to let go of deeply rooted fears and replace them with new and more positive ways of thinking.
This audio program also gives children the power to control their dreams and lead them in a more positive direction when nightmares begin to start. The MP3 will also give them the skills to remain calm and in control if they do experience a nightmare and to ‘switch off’ if this happens.
This story is useful to help with children who:
- Experience bad dreams and nightmares
- Wet the bed
- Have trouble sleeping because of fear
- Cannot grasp the difference reality and fiction
- Are afraid of the dark
- Are scared of monsters, boogie men, or other fictional characters
- Have an overactive imagination manifesting negative thoughts
Self confidence issues can also cause nightmares as a lack of self esteem can manifest negative thoughts and fears more easily. In this story are some metaphorical techniques that help children improve their self confidence and take control over what they think of themselves and their environment at the deepest level.
Nightmares can also cause of bed wetting issues
Often by addressing nightmares and confidence issues will assist with helping children to not wet the bed. Adapting a more confident, realistic and empowered view on the things around them during the day can help a child to have a better night’s sleep without nightmares. Remove the fear, the misunderstanding and the illusion and your child will sleep soundly.
Play this program at night as your child goes to sleep or at any time or during the day. Use it at least once a day for 6 to 8 weeks, with every 7th day allocated as a ‘break day’ when the child does not have to use the recording.
Children love listening to this story, and with repeated use, the positive metaphorical messages will move them beyond nightmares and into positive and empowered sleeping habits.
